FAQs: Class Information

What are classes like?

Classes are anywhere from 8-25 students and are led by a combination of coaches and volunteers. Each class meets weekly for a duration of 1-2 hours, depending on the level and session. Every class starts with a warmup before moving into our activities where both golf and life skills are seamlessly integrated. All classes end with a wrap-up discussion.

Do I need golf clubs?

All equipment is provided, but if your child has their own clubs, you are encouraged to bring them.

What should I wear?

Participants are encouraged but not required to wear appropriate golf attire. This includes a collared shirt, pants or shorts/skirt, and athletic shoes. Most players will be comfortable in athletic clothing, including close-toed shoes. Don’t forget a rain jacket and hat to protect the elements!

Can I miss a class?

Players are encouraged to attend as many classes per session as possible. In the case of an emergency or needed absence, please notify your Lead Coach. In the case of an absence, we can offer a “make-up” class at a different time during that same calendar week, but no more than twice per season.

Most classes are fully enrolled and many with waiting lists – please contact us if you plan to miss more than three or four classes a session.

How will I know if class is postponed or cancelled due to weather?

We do our best to practice rain or shine. In the case of extreme weather, we will notify you have a cancellation via email within 3 hours of the class start time.
